Johnny Depp‘s attorney Camille Vasquez has become the most popular lawyer in the world. And with that popularity comes opportunities to have a life away from the courtroom.
The Blast EXCLUSIVELY spoke with Vasquez on those opportunities and more at the Brent Shapiro Foundation charity event in Beverly Hills, and the humble and inspiring lawyer is taking nothing for granted when it comes to those doors that are being presented and opened to her.
Lawyer Camille Vasquez Helps Johnny Depp Win Defamation Trial
The defamation trial seen around the world took place in Fairfax, Virginia and it featured two very note-worthy celebrities: “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor Johnny Depp and his ex-wife, “Aquaman” actress Amber Heard. Depp who had initially sued Heard for $50 million dollars due to a 2018 Washington Post op-ed where Heard declared herself a survivor of domestic violence never mentioned Depp by name in the piece, but the assumptions were there enough to where Depp made the case that he lost out on many roles due to the accusations.
Camille Vasquez Open To “Surreal” New Life & Celebrity
She realized that she was becoming noticed and a celebrity for the first time when she saw people looking at her as more than just a lawyer as she told The Blast, “It was actually during the trial, at one point it was the weekend and I went to a Starbucks that was near the hotel we were staying at, and this young sweet girl with braces called out my name. Because I just ordered my coffee ahead of time. And then she looked at me and got wide-eyed, opened her mouth, and was like, ”Oh my God!’ You’re Johnny Depp’s lawyer!” Then that is when I was like, ”Oh God, what has happened? What happened to my life all of the sudden.”
And though she is taking things day by day and in stride and wants to continue doing law and remain in the courtroom, she has clearly seen what could come from winning big cases like the one she did with Johnny Depp.
Camille Vasquez Looking To Dive Into TV & So Much More?
The celebrity and success that Vasquez has gained for herself always open many doors, especially in entertainment. So it is not far-fetched at all that she could soon have her own legal TV show and do a plethora of other things in the entertainment space that includes writing books and so much more. And when The Blast continued our EXCLUSIVE interview with Vasquez at the Brent Shapiro Foundation charity event on September 10th, she spoke about these future opportunities with a smile on her face a mile wide. saying, “Look… Well I mean I have had so many pinch-me moments in the last few months that I would have never ever imagined. At my core, I am an advocate, I love what I get to do every day. And yes, these opportunities have presented themselves, but we will see what the future holds, I haven’t committed to anything yet!
And by the look of things and whatever the future may hold in entertainment. It looks like a bright future is ahead.
